Course Information: Methods and Classrm Mgmt  (55502)

This course is designed to provide teacher candidates with experience in a supervised school setting where they show active involvement with mentor teacher in creating and teaching lessons, grading papers, or any other classroom work. Students will learn how to implement meaningful and engaging instruction for secondary students in engineering technology; developing critical thinking, problem solving, literacy, and democratic character; assessing learner performance. Verification of professional liability insurance and clear criminal background check are required prior to receiving a school placement. The e-portfolio is required for all education courses. There are 120 field experience hours in this course. The course cannot be passed without completion of the field experience hours. Verification of professional liability insurance and a clear criminal background check are required prior to receiving a school placement. Prerequisites: Admission to Teacher Education and completion of all 3000 level education courses. This course must be taken concurrently with ETED 4416.
