Course Information: Multimedia Publishing  (80208)

This hands-on course introduces students to concepts, theories and software for designing digital and print publications, including news publications, magazines, social media, public relations deliverables, print and online advertisements, social media and other design products. Students apply theories and hone skills as they create multiple printed and online projects. The course reinforces data visualization concepts through creating graphs and charts. Students will gain the skills required in all media industry platforms.

Required Materials:   ● The Non-Designer's Design Book (3rd edition) by Robin Williams. ISBN-13: 978-0321534040 ● 10 GB flash drive or a Google Drive account Suggested: Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator (You will have access to these programs on most computers at the university, but the students who have them on their personal computers get more practice and time to complete their work out of convenience.)
