Course Information: Ballet II  (20885)

Ballet I course will teach intermediate ballet technique. The class will stress proper alignment, basic ballet positions, briefly strengthening and balance. Students will learn to understand their bodies on how best to execute ballet technique using their strengths and limitations. Students will begin to learn ballet using head and arm coordination.

Required Materials:   Technical Manual and Dictionary of Classical Ballet Author: Gail Grant
Technical Requirements:   -Form fitting clothes that allow the instructor to see the student’s alignment. – Leotard, tank top, tights, jazz pants, etc. Absolutely NO jeans. -Hair must be secured back and away from the face and neck. No bangs in the face. Your hair should not impede movement. -Jewelry is to be kept at a minimum. -* Proper attire is required.
Pre-Requisite:   (( DNCE 2600 with minimum grade: C )
