This course teaches writing and process in the context of grant funding and government contracts. the course examines the process and management of grants by nonprofit organizations(NPO), especially those involved as direct providers of public services. A primary focus is learning and employing grant strategies and procedures. foundational is development of the sound writing skills that serve the practice of securing grant funding and government contracts; soundly constructed argumentation in the presentation of data supporting research based claims. Central to this learning is an examination of foundation: why they exist, how they perform as steward; their impact on public service; and how to foster and maintain foundation relationship.
