Course Information: Voice and Movement  (80225)

This class will introduce students to a range of vocal and physical techniques for creative expression in performance, performance art, and all kinds of spoken human communication. Through a series of exercises, training, and performances, students will have the opportunity to reduce habitual tensions, connect the voice and body, and increase the strength, flexibility, and dynamic of their presentations. Speech skills including an introduction to the international Phonetic Alphabet will also be developed. The class will cover techniques drawn from a wide variety of voice and movement pedagogies.
