Course Information: Managerial Economics  (80573)

Introduce the student to the application of microeconomics theory and economic reasoning to the managerial decision making. The student will learn the tools and the economic methodology that will help managers make sound decision making. Topics covered include demand and production analyses; marginal and revenue analyses; price discrimination in various market structures; competitive industry equilibrium; information asymmetry; decision making under uncertainty; oligopoly and game theory; externalities; and the economic issues that face managers in the global economy. Enrollment requires permission of the Director of Graduate Programs in Business. Prerequisite: MBAP 5992
