This course will provide broad exposure to governance frameworks, tools, strategies, and methodologies used to manage technology in the government/public sector. It will evaluate how public policy, practices, and investments in technology can produce more effective government service, improve public participation, ensure organizational accountability, and overcome structural and institutional obstacles to change. The course will also examine the impacts of data collection, storage, analysis, and dissemination on public safety, privacy, security, accessibility, and equity.
