This course introduces students to visual composition and digital design for journalism and public relations. Students will apply layout and design principles, color theory, typography concepts, and data visualization tools to plan and design products for print, digital and social media environments. This course utilizes desktop publishing and photo editing software and covers copyright, ethics, and design with diverse audiences in mind.
