This course introduces students to the skills set to become sportswriters. The course exposes students to game coverage, social media, writing structure and style, reporting and data gathering, the numeric aspect of sports, and issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in sports writing and reporting. Students work to produce multimedia game stories, features, columns, blogs, TV commentaries, and microblogs.
