A. Required Textbook: College Algebra, 8th Edition, by Larson. Hard copy of the text book is not required. E-book is available through Web-Assign provided you have valid code from web-assign. It is very important to have a copy of this textbook because you are required to read the theoretical part and examples from the book on your own.

Information about Web-Assign: Please follow the following steps to have access to the homework assignments and
the electronic version of the textbook.
1. Go to www.webassign.net.
2. On right top for ACCOUNT LOG IN, choose “I HAVE A Class Key”.
3. Put savstate for the first box, 9201 for the second, and 7671 for the third.
4. Verify Class Information by checking “Course”, “Instructor”, and “Savannah State University”.
5. If it is correct, click “Yes, this is my class”.
6. Click “I need to create a Web-Assign account” if you don’t have it or click “I already have a Web-Assign account”.
7. Click “Continue”.
8. Choose your own username for “Preferred Username” and your own password for “Password”.
9. Put your information for “Student Information”.
10. Now your account has been created and review your information.
11. Click “Log in now.”
A (option 1) Long-term and eventually mandatory option:
• Choose “purchase access online” if you want to pay by credit card or debit card online, or choose “enter an access code” if you purchased it from SSU book store.
• If you choose “purchase access online”, choose “Lifetime of Edition Access to eBook and Homework-$xx” or “Lifetime of Edition Access to Homework-$xx”. (May be different price for different course).
• Click “Checkout”.
• Review your order and click “Continue” if it is correct.
• Input your credit card or debit card information.
• Use Web Assign freely by clicking tabs on top.
B (option 2) similarly long-term and eventually mandatory option.
• Choose “enter an access code” if you purchased it from SSU book store.
• Choose the appropriate prefix from the menu box.
• Input your own access code into 4 boxes on the right pop-up.
• Click” Continue”.
• Review your order and click “Continue” if it is correct.
• Use Web-Assign freely by clicking tabs on top.
C (option 3) Free trial for just 2 weeks. After two weeks, you will be prohibited from using web-assign. In that case, you have to
opt for either option A or option B.
• Choose “continue my trial period”.
• Click “Continue”.
• Use Web-Assign freely with limited time by clicking tabs on top.
Purchasing Web-Assign code is mandatory for this course and if you decide not to purchase it, you will be fighting for 70% out of 85% only, instead of 100% in order to secure a passing grade, since Web-Assign will contribute 15% towards your final letter grade.
