Women in the Media

This course is an introduction to the history, contributions, representation, and portrayal of women in media. It looks at media portrayal of women and the contributions of women to the profession. Upon successful completion, students will understand the value of telling the stories of women as an underrepresented group. It will assist them as media professionals to look for opportunities to accurately report about women today.
