Course Information: Data Comm & Computer Networks  (80174)

This course provides an introduction to the principles and techniques of data communications and computer networks. The course covers the topics of transmission media and modes, communication protocols, and network architecture. It will also cover the day-to-day administrative tasks necessary to maintain a business computer network. Creating user and group accounts, profiles, access permissions, resource auditing, backup, recovery, and network printers will be covered. Prerequisite: CISM 1130 or CSCI 1130 and CISM 2130; or Instructor approval
