What is postmodern American Literature? How do we define the Postmodern within and without the confines of periodization? Through the literary and theoretical texts of this course such questions will be confronted and analyzed. The course is intended for English majors and will provide further practice in textual analysis, close reading, and the conventions of literary study and terminology.
