Course Information: Oceanographic Data Methods  (20589)

A course in analytical tools used in oceanographic research including time series analysis, sampling theory and design, and database management. Students will become proficient in scripting in at least one data analysis software program (MATLAB, R, Ocean Data View, SPSS, SAS, etc.) using example data sets commonly collected from ocean observatories, satellite remote sensing, data loggers, tagging and tracking experiments, moorings, current meters, long-term climate data sets, and related oceanographic data.
