Course Information: Critical Writing & Analysis SW  (80253)

This course is required for students who enter the program on provisional status. This academic writing in social work course is designed to assist students in developing their critical writing and analysis skills proficiently. The course is designed in a workshop format that is characterized by hands on writing and real time constructive feedback interactive experience. Students will explore different reading materials including research articles and texts on important social issues and develop a comprehensive writing portfolio including a pre-course and post course reflection paper addressing their learning needs prior to the start of the course (pre-course) and learning attainment or development/transformation as a result of taking the class (post-course).
