Numerical Analysis

This course is intended to introduce scientific computation and numerical linear algebra. Topics will include root finding for nonlinear equations, approximation theory, including polynomial spline interpolation and best approximation, numerical linear algebra: direct and iterative methods for linear systems of equations; eigenvalue problems for matrices and their real-life applications.
