Course Information: First Amendment  (80008)

This course is an analysis of the history of Supreme Court jurisprudence of the religion clauses and the free speech clause of the First Amendment.         Student Learning Outcomes 1. Students will identify the key cases and principles of jurisprudence in the history of religion and speech decisions. 2. Students will appraise the quality of Supreme Court jurisprudence and propose paths to better constitutionalism. 3. Students will construct a research project on a topic related to the material of the course.
