Course Information: Ideation and Innovation  (80705)

In this applied course students are provided an opportunity to learn and utilize quantitatively and qualitatively validated ideation methods for quality idea generation and opportunity recognition. Emphasis will be given to developing students’ ability to detect, evaluate, and choose high potential ideas that have the highest likelihood of success. Concepts on design thinking, market trend analysis, leading innovative teams, intellectual property rights, prototyping, and creating an innovative culture will be discussed. Additionally, this course will offer active learning and immersion activities that will develop students’ critical and analytical thinking skills that will form the “entrepreneurial mindset”.
