Remote Testing Registration Form
What is a remote test center? A remote test
center is an approved COMPASS test center outside the Savannah area where SSU
applicants must request permission to test. However, SSU applicants must
check their online admission application status first, to ensure that they are
eligible to take the COMPASS for admission consideration. The status will note
as PENDING COMPASS RESULTS.
If you do not live in the Savannah area and are required to take the
COMPASS Test as a part of your admission requirements, you may be eligible to
take the COMPASS at a test center near your home area. Please note that your
online application for admission status MUST reflect eligibility to take
the COMPASS Test (Pending COMPASS Results).
STEP 1: Complete all requested information
below. Incomplete information may delay your remote test being scheduled at your
selected test site. You can fax the completed form to Savannah State Testing
Office at 912-358-3993 or e-mail to
testing@savannahstate.edu.
STEP 2: Check the email in which you provided
daily. The Testing Center staff will notify you via e-mail within 48 hours
of your COMPASS Remote Test Request with two (2) emails:
-
You will receive an email from ACT-COMPASS that will include your
remote registration number and instructions for contacting your selected
test center to schedule your COMPASS Test. When calling the remote test
center to schedule your test, please have your test registration number
handy as a reference. The registration number is valid for forty days after the
registration date, if this number expires, you must submit another request.
-
You will receive another email from an SSU Testing Staff, confirming that
your test registration number and email has been sent. It will also
valuable information on test score requirements, test preparation and frequently
asked questions.
STEP 3: Once you receive your emails, read them
thoroughly so that you may schedule your test as soon as possible. You are
responsible for making your own appointment with the remote testing center with
the provided registration number and paying any applicable fees they may assess
for testing. Be certain to print the email you receive from ACT-CCOMPASS and
take it with you on the day of testing as you will need the registration number
to log into your test. You should also bring a current photo ID and any
additional materials as requested by the remote test center. A calculator
(with basic and scientific functions) is built into the COMPASS Math (Algebra)
test that you may use—you should request assistance from the onsite test
proctor, as needed.
Please complete the form below. Fields in RED are required.
